He was predeceased by: his parent Josephine Libertucci Scalzo. He is survived by: his parent Angelo Scalzo; his wife Anne Schmitt Scalzo; his significant other Donna Young; his son John T. Scalzo (Karen) of Syracuse; his siblings, Tom Scalzo (Marcia), Ginny Ford (late Brian) of Clifton Park, Jane Sprando (Phil) of Oregon and June Overdorf (Gary) of Albany; and also, Cindy Scalzo (Henry Brown) of Chicago, Cheryl Jenner of Baltimore, Lynda Scalzo (Cain) of Albany and Joanne Scalzo (Jim Butterworth) of Albany. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in John's memory to The Community Hospice Foundation, 310 S. Manning Blvd., Albany, NY 12208.
