It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Gilbert Jr. of Syracuse, New York, who passed away on October 9, 2020, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Gilbert and Eileen Marie Gilbert (O'Donnell); his wife Inger Molmen Gilbert; and his siblings, Francis, Paul and Ann.
He is survived by: his children, Gael Gilbert of St. Marys, GA, Mari Kosobucki (Ron) of Hamburg, NY, John J. Gilbert III (Diana) of New Rochelle, NY, Ellen Anstett (Gary) of Hamburg, NY and Marta Lowe (Tom) of Binghamton, NY.; and his grandchildren, Erik Kosobucki (Jennifer), John J. Gilbert IV (Veronica), Paul Anstett, Emily Lowe, Colleen Coles (Matt) and Christopher Lowe (Emily). He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
