He is survived by: his wife Mary DeFreitas; his children, Ashley DeFreitas and Michael DeFreitas; his granddaughter Renee DeFreitas of East Syracuse; and his sister Shelly Reaves (David DeFreitas) of Fayetteville. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
