He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Barbato and Theresa Barbato; and his brothers, Daniel, Matthew, Lawrence and David.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Jean Barbato (DeSantis); his sons, John Barbato (Carolyn) of Liverpool, Thomas Barbato (MaryBeth) of Fort Myers, FL and Robert Barbato (Emily) of Delmar, NY; and his grandchildren, Joseph Barbato (Hannah), Michael Barbato (Bridget), Theresa Schoen (Hayden), Lynn King (Michael), Nicholas Barbato, Daniel Barley (Dara) and Jacob Barbato. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
