Joan A. Read Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joan A. Read of Syracuse, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 15, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband George; her brothers, John, Jeffrey and Jerome; and her stepdaughter Donna.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kristen Abbott-Adsitt (Bill) and Sarah Favro (Russell); her stepchildren, Cathleen Hargis (Larry), Patricia Rosati (Steve) and Gregory Read; her grandchildren, Andrew Abbott (Brooke), Lindsay Byrnes (Mike), Zoe, Cole and Favro; her great grandchildren, Carlyn, Addison, Alice, Briar, Jameson and Audrey; her siblings, Janet Diaz and James Pickard; and her cousin Sandy Schmitt. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
