She was predeceased by: her mother Clara Dembowski; and her husband Jerry L. Surface. She is survived by: her sons, Jeremy (Karen) and Jeffrey (Gretchen); and her grandchildren, Bethannie, Jennifer, Emily, Rachel, Tiffany, Nathan and Alexander. She is also survived by six great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of Flowers, memorial donations can be made to the CNY SPCA, the CNY Humane Association, or the CNY Cat Coalition.
