She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Reuben and Martha Reuben (Janes); her husband John A. Helm Sr.; her sons-in-law, William A. Clark and Thomas J. Putnam; and her brothers-in-law, Walter and Fred Helm.
She is survived by: her children, Janis Putnam (Helm) of Ithaca, NY and John; her daughter-in-law Joyce Helm of Jamesville, NY; her granddaughter Kristy Vetter (Shane); her great grandchildren, Luke and Dylan Vetter of Aspen, CO; her sister Ruth Hess (Karl) of West Nyack, NY; and her sisters-in-law, Ruth Nead of Garwood, NJ and Peggy Helm of Sun Lakes, AZ. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
