With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Cobb in Syracuse, New York, who passed away on October 12, 2024 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mollie Swain Cobb and Henry Cobb of Fitzgerald, GA; and his sisters, Vera Hall and Alice Dameron. He is survived by: his sister Marsha "Katie" Benning; his spouse Leeandia Cobb; his daughters, Lawanda Hodge of Atlanta, GA. and Tonyia Cobb of Atlanta, GA.; and his grandchildren, Tanesha Rambert (Tahj Rambert) of Tampa, FL, Charnele Hodge of Atlanta, GA, Jaron Hodge of Atlanta, GA and Tavon Goddard of Houston, TX.
His contributions to the church were vast, including 20 years as the head of the financial department, 37 years as a state usher, 25 years as a choir member, and 40 years overseeing the kitchen committee.
