He was predeceased by: his daughter Athena "Tina" Hammer Zhang. He is survived by: his wife Anne; his children, Steve Tzivanis (Barbara) and Debora Politis; his grandchildren, David Hammer (Amy), Anastacia Aragon (Pepe), Jeffrey Hammer (Miyoung), Bobby Hammer (Lindsay), Danny Hammer (Kate), Mia Zhang, Lucas Tzivanis and Katie Tzivanis; his brother Tom Tzivanis (Florence); his sister-in-law Niki Anthis; and his nephew Godchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St Sophia's Greek Orthodox Church.
