He was predeceased by: his father Martin Wichert. He is survived by: his wife Theresa Dewey; his children, Barbara Marleau, Gerard "Bud" Wichert Jr., Karen Hockenbery (Jim) and Brian Wichert; his sister Dorothy Wichert-Kalisciak; and his close friend Joe Schmelzer. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren.
