He is survived by: his daughter Jenny Ackerman; the mother of his child Maureen Ackerman; and his siblings, Penny McNaught (Tom), Ida Costello (Jay), Alice Ackerman, Ken Ackerman (Kim), Joe Ackerman and Mike Ackerman. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
George often said that his greatest contributions to the world were his children, Lee and Jenny.
