It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Genevieve Purchiaroni of Syracuse, New York, who passed away on October 29, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Julia and Stanley Kot; her granddaughter Tracey Pitcher; her son-in-law Bob Pitcher; and her sisters, Lottie and Mary.
She is survived by: her children, Margaret Pitcher, Cynthia O'Mara (Paul) of Canastota, Joseph Purchiaroni Jr. (Lois) of East Syracuse, Annette Juneau (Paul) and Donna St (Rene). She is also survived by 12 Grandchildren, 29 Great-Grandchildren and many special nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Sacred Heart Basilica (927 Park Ave, Syracuse, NY 13204). A reception was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hollis Funeral Home (1105 W Genesee St, Syracuse, NY 13204).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the charity of your choosing or Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital Foundation, American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
