He was predeceased by: his sister Linda Gilbert. He is survived by: his children, Mary K. Donaldson, Patricia S. Bennett and Richard C. Bennett (Julie Ozols); his fiancé Linda A. Troendle; his grandchildren, Nicole A. Bennett, T. J. Donaldson, Caitlin R. Donaldson, Briana M. Moon (Jacob) and Christopher R. O. Bennett; his brother Robert J. Bennett (Lori); his niece Abby; and his nephew Jack.
