She was predeceased by: her parents, Isaac Mims and Charity Mims; her husband Alfred Pate; and her daughter Shirley Turner. She is survived by: her sister Mary Ella Mims Griffin; her children, Eileen Thomas, Gregory Givens, Blanche Johnson, Yolonda Pate, Edward Pate, KiKi Pate, Jaquan Pate and Eulisa Pate; and her adoptive daughter Doris Cartwright. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, family and friends.
