Edward A. Pickering Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edward A. Pickering (Syracuse, New York), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 27, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alden Pickering and Catherine Pickering. He is survived by: his brothers, Richard (Dick) and Raymond; his caregiver Ed; his wife H. Marie; his former wife Barbara; his children, Theresa Stanton (David), Deborah Welles (Bruce) and Michael Pickering (Tracy); his stepchildren, Chris Chunko and Ronald Chunko (Mary Jo); his sister Linda Gaffney (Robert); his grandchildren, Christa, Brian, Keith, Zachary, Patrick, Vanessa and Jonathan; and his stepgrandson Cameron. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren and several beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Holy Family Church (127 Chapel Dr, Syracuse, NY 13219). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
