Though Doris may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elbert Crowder and Minnie Crowder; and her siblings, Ernest Crowder (Gussie), Emma Deloach (F. B.) and Ophelia Rowe.
She is survived by: her significant other John H. Newman; and her children, Debra Carter, Sebrina Coleman, Jacqueline Harts (Arthur) and Betina Oliver (Michael). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
