She was predeceased by: her father Richard J. Matherson; her brother Richard J. Matherson, Jr.; and her close friend Joseph Siracusa. She is survived by: her children, Charles Gates, IV and Marietta Lanni (Bob Hannan); and her brother Keith Matherson (J. J.). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
