She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, LeRoy Schneider and Gertrude Schneider (Nicholson); her caregivers, Tami Hawkins, Ranesha "Duke" Campbell, Sheila Lester and Philomena Leavett; her husband Edward C. Abt, Sr.; her sister Eileen Hofmann; her granddaughter Adeline M. Fagan, MD; and her children, Paul Abt of Missouri, Andrew Abt of Fulton, Joseph Abt (Anne Marie) of Syracuse, Edward "Buddy" Abt, Jr. of La Fayette, Mary Jane Fagan (Brant) of La Fayette, Judith Abt of Fulton and William Abt (Kelleen) of Syracuse. She was also cherished by 17 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was a resident of Syracuse's Northside until early 2020, when the Covid pandemic necessitated her to move to La Fayette, NY to live with her daughter.
