He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Murphy and Mildred Wood Murphy; his brothers, Ronald Murphy and Lynn Chapin; and his brother-in-law James Barr.
He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Murphy and Steven Murphy; and his siblings, Caren Barrs, James Murphy (Liz), Frederick Murphy (Robin), Kevin Murphy (Chalyce), Randy Murphy (Rose) and Thomas Murphy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
