He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Burns and Joseph Michael Burns; his brother Joseph Burns; and his nephew Michael Burns. He is survived by: his wife Mary Conroy; his children, Mary Patricia Kelly (Donald), Kathleen Fallon (Patrick) and Joseph Burns; his grandchildren, Mary, Kate Fallon and James Kelly; his siblings, Thomas Burns (Mary) and Mary Beth Horan (Clark); and his siblings-in-law, Johanne Burns and Jim Conroy.
