She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Odessa Mency Edwards and Joe Louis Edwards; her daughters, Nakeia Chambers, Serina Edwards and Precious Dixie; her grandchildren, Serenity James, Aazi Lauren Mathis, Zhane and Azariah Burgess; and her brothers, Joseph Edwards (Dielka), William Edwards, Christopher Edwards, Daryl Edwards, Theodore Jones, Julius Edwards (Sabrena) and Joseph V. Edwards Sr..
