He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

“Chris was a kind man, Johnny and I will miss him dearly. Always willing to help come rain or shine. Everyone knew him in our neighborhood and everyone loved him. Mearl his beautiful cat would always come to the house to visit before answering to Chris's call to go home. This past winter we were snowed in and Chris came out and made a path for us. That was how he was always helping others. I will surely miss his presence. We will never forget you! Rest In Peace my friend. We love you!”
