It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles R. Coon of Syracuse, New York, who passed away on January 13, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Charles R. Coon to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his son Michael; his parents, Frederic and Margaret; and his siblings, Margaret Coon, Frederic Jr. (Polly), Edward, Robert and William.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his sister Jean Metz (Robert) of Syracuse; and his sisters-in-law, Carmela, Cheryl and Josephine. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Buranich Funeral Home (5431 W Genesee St, Camillus, NY 13031). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Joseph's Church (5600 W Genesee St, Camillus, NY 13031). A burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at the Greenlawn Cemetery (2932 Warners Rd, Warners, NY 13164).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Food Pantry, 5600 W. Genesee St., Camillus, NY 13031, or to one's favorite charity.
