She is survived by: her children, Barbara M. Johnson of Syracuse, Vanessa Oakes (Carrie) and Thomas A. Oakes (Carrie); her stepson Loren Oakes of New Jersey; her grandchildren, Nathan (Kayla), Kanahrahtens "Cierra", Cienna and Thomas Jr.; and her great grandchild Ezra David. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
