He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Harlan and Thelma Harlan; and his granddaughter Melanie Mitchell. He is survived by: his wife Mary Harlan (Donigan); his son Mark Harlan (Cheri) of Virginia; and his great grandchildren, Laina Mitchell and Howard Mitchell.
