He was predeceased by: his parents, Terezija Nagyvegi and Bela Nagyvegi; and his siblings, Tibor (Mara), Duro (Julka), Aron (Ana) and Silvia Pajtler (Zonimir).
He is survived by: his wife Erika; his children, Beth Cruz (Manuel), Robin Turner and Ruth Nagyvegi; his grandchildren, Isabella and Xavier Cruz; his sister Etelka Uzelac; and his sister-in-law Ingrid Braun. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
