It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Barbara J. Coffey of Syracuse, New York, born in Albany, New York, who passed away, on October 10, 2020. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Beatrice Coffey (Battle) and Eugene J. Coffey. She is survived by: her children, Sarah Fleming-Ferlito (Tim), Jessie Buecheler (Nick), Nora Strong (Chris) and Nathan Fleming; her grandchildren, Tobias, Malaki, Mischa, Westley, Michael Finnegan, Liam and Liliana; and her siblings, Anne Coffey, Peter Coffey (Becky), Kate Fink (Gary), Paul Coffey (Karen) and Rick Coffey (Ellen). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
There will be no immediate funeral services, in part due to Covid-19 and because Barb's final wish was to have her passing benefit the advancement of science and education as an anatomical gift.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Friends of the Rosamond Gifford Zoo, Attn: Development Department, 1 Conservation Place, Syracuse, NY 13204; or to the Alzheimer's Association, CNY Chapter, 441 W. Kirkpatrick St., Syracuse, NY 13204.
