He was predeceased by: his father James B. Kearse Jr.; and his brother Elliott Kearse. He is survived by: his children, Alisa Kearse and Anthony Jamell Kearse; his mother Gwendolyn Kearse; and his siblings, Toni Brown, Francina Kearse, Cheryell Kearse, Felicia Kearse, Kewanda Kearse, Alton James Kearse, Gregory Jones and Shawn Kearse. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
