Though Silvestra may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Carmelo; her children, Vito (Anna), Grace Giammalva and Maria Patane (Antonio); and her siblings, Maria Chianetta, Rosetta LoGrande and Franco Calabrese.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM and from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Weigand Bros., Inc. Funeral Home (49 Hillside Avenue, Williston Park, NY 11596). A Mass was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Edward the Confessor RC Church (205 Jackson Ave, Syosset, NY 11791). A burial was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 12:45 PM at the Lutheran Cemetery.
