He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles Thomas and Lucy Thomas; his wife Nancy Donegan; his friend Ruth Ellison; his children, Lauren and Frank; his siblings, Henrietta, Josephine, Cecile, Lucy Mae, Frances, Marjorie, Charles Merritt and George; and also, Darlene Calderoni and Dominick. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
