He was predeceased by: his parents, Josephine Canavan and Edward H. Helmke; his wife Peggy; his grandson Shea Mitchell; and also, Edward and Josephine.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kim Helmke Mitchell, Karen Scullion and Claudia Helmke Miller; his grandchildren, Ryan (Alyssa Mitchell), Shannon (Kalin McHale), Emma (Brett Cavazos), Quinn Mitchell, Hanna Scullion and Sofie Miller; and his great grandchild Austyn Noel Mitchell.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Interlaken Community Clubhouse (75 Sarazen St, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866).
