It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Candela of Summitville, New York, born in Teaneck, New Jersey, who passed away on August 26, 2020, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Salvatore Candela and Antoinette Piccialo Candela; his former wife Etta Candela; his sister Sally Ann Schnakenberg; and his grandson Jackson Joshua Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Candela; his children, Jackey Candela (Becky Matta Candela) of Middletown, Jody Pfaff (Ben Pfaff) of Kerhonkson, Kim Candela and David Smith of Wurtsboro; his stepdaughter Rebecca Arra; his grandchildren, Jack, Ben, Anthony, Madison, Gunnar, Nate and Reed; and his siblings, Antoinette Wall of Middletown and Michael Candela of Montgomery. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
