He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth McCaffrey (Clark) and Patrick McCaffrey; his daughters, Susan Powers and Lynn Frank; his stepson Norman Baker; his son-in-law Nick Eremita; and his brothers, John, James and Eamon.

He is survived by: his wife Agnes McCaffrey; his children, Sharon Eremita of Williamsburg, VA and Stephen (Virginia McCaffrey) of Delray Beach, FL; his stepson Mark (Rosicel Baker) of Maybrook, NY; his son-in-law Bruce Powers of Brielle, NJ.; and his sister Rosemary Roach of New Rochelle, NY.. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
