Robert Lynn Eaddy, 50 of Pomona, New York formerly of Florence, South Carolina passed away Thursday, April 23, 2020 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, New York. A virtual memorial service will be conducted with immediate family only.
Robert was born August 2, 1969 in Florence, South Carolina to the late Inez Wilson Eaddy and Jesse Eaddy.
Robert started his education in Florence County, graduating from Wilson Senior High School, Class of 1987. His activities included playing trumpet in the concert and marching bands. Robert’s musical talent was exceptional earning him “First Chair” honor and music scholarships from the prestigious Julliard School of Music and South Carolina State University. Upon graduation Robert decided not to pursue a career in music and instead decided to attend DeVry University in Atlanta, Ga. obtaining an Associate’s degree in Electronics.
On June 9, 2001 Robert was joined in Holy Matrimony to Jacqueline Eaddy. Their union was blessed with a son, Samuel Eaddy. He was a devoted husband and father and relished his close relationship with his son Samuel, his pride and joy.
Robert’s career included positions with IBM, New York State Department of Transportation - Engineering Division and the Federal Credit Union of Pomona, NY.
Robert started his Christian journey in life with St. Peter Holiness Church in Florence, SC and continued at The International Gathering at Beth Rapha of Pomona, NY. He loved serving the Lord and was very active in the ministry becoming an associate minister and was affectionately known as Reverend Rob.
He leaves to cherish his love and memories his wife, Jacqueline Eaddy; one son Samuel “Sam” Eaddy; his father, Jesse Eaddy of Florence, South Carolina; four brothers: Victor (Yvette) of Charlotte, North Carolina, Reuben of Florence, South Carolina, Kenneth (Pauletta) of Pensacola, Florida, Phillip (Marguerite) of Lawrenceville, Georgia, and a sister-in law Alesia Eaddy (Earl Eaddy, deceased). He is also survived by four aunts: Shirley Jackson of New York, Rebecca (Don) Fikes of Maryland, Marian (Joe) Hannah and Juanita Scott of South Carolina; one uncle, Calvin (Pontheola) Wilson of South Carolina; five nieces: Victoria, Shanette, Allyssa, Alexus and Brittany and two nephews: Nicholas and Daryl; one grandnephew, Dyllon; two grandnieces Amelia and Alina.
