Michael Francis Hulahan Jr. Obituary

Michael Francis Hulahan, Jr., of Mahwah, formerly of Bergenfield, NJ, passed away on September 28, 2022 at only 83 years young. Mike was born June 24, 1939 to the late Michael & Margaret (Oschman) Hulahan. Beloved husband of Mufeda "Mickie" (Allan), and father of Jennifer (Scott), John (Lena), Michael (Michele), and Daniel. Michael was grandfather to 9 as well as a great grandfather. Mike is survived by a brother Thomas, a sister Eileen Peterson (John), and the late Mary Cicalo. A US Navy veteran, Michael was a Plant Supervisor with the NY Daily News, retiring in the 90's. After that, he owned his own businesses notably, 2 delicatessens in Metuchen. Michael loved horses and horseback riding. He owned horses, and competed nationally in the NRHA, winning several awards. His love of riding led him to be a Mounted Sheriff Police Officer, in both Bergen and Passaic Counties. He was also an avid bow hunter and fisherman. He will be very sorely missed and loved for eternity. Michael was a parishioner of Our Lady of Good Counsel in Washington Township.
