He is survived by: his significant other Larry Brown; his sons, Christopher (Kathleen) and Andrew (Jessica); his grandchildren, Christopher, Catherine, Casie and Lucia; and his brothers, Frank (Mary) and John.

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, September 27, 2024, at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 129 Lafayette Ave, Suffern, NY 10901In lieu of flowers, contributions in James' memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105 US, http://www.stjude.org.
