She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Marable and Cloise Marable. She is survived by: her husband Lloyd T. King; her child Charis; her grandchildren, Christopher and Natalie; and her siblings, Clinton Marable, Bernice King (North Carolina), Clarence Marable (Florida) and Marie Marable (Florida). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and a host of cousins.

Memorial Donations in Loving Memory of Lela Ruth King may be made to the Fairmount Baptist Church.
