He was predeceased by: his parents, George Thompson and Joan Thompson (Duane); his stepmother Margaret Thompson; and his brothers, John Thompson and Joseph Thompson.
He is survived by: his wife Geri; his children, George Thompson Jr. of Washingtonville, NY, Joan Nelson (Joe) of Apex, NC and Kerry Canavan of Tomkins Cove, NY.; and his brothers, Michael Thompson, Tommy Thompson and Robert Thompson.
