She was predeceased by: her parents, William Sullivan and Ursula Sullivan. She is survived by: her children, Andrew DeFreese and Greg DeFreese; her siblings, Tom (Jan) of Newtown, PA and Elizabeth Gelotte (Bruce); and her spouse Robert DeFreese of Hillburn, NY. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and aunts and uncles.
Donations may be made in Carol's memory to Providence House (703 Lexington Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11221) a non-profit agency that serves vulnerable women and children who are homeless or in crisis.
