She was predeceased by: her parents, Patrick Madden and Elsie Madden; her husband Thomas J. Gilheany; and her sisters, Mary Hoar and Sarah Marcello.
She is survived by: her children, Thomas Gilheany, Jr. (Lorraine) of Eagle River, AK, Kathleen Kotary (Ray) of Colonie and Jodie Gilheany of Mechanicville; her grandchildren, L. C. Rose, Ellie Jo, Shylynn and Annie Gilheany; her great grandchildren, Douglas and Lorraine; and her siblings, Kay Mikus, Margie Anderson (Paul) and Patrick Madden. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Estherville Animal Shelter, 100 Russell Rd, Greenfield Center, NY 12833 in loving memory of Josephine Gilheany.
