He is survived by: his wife Gloria Ann (Karpowich); his children, Michael Joseph Begier (Jenna) of Silver Spring and Amy Lynn Shaver (Daniel) of Cambridge; his grandchild Morgan Shaver; his pet Ziva; his sisters, Donna Nimmon and Kathleen Briggs; his brother-in-law Walter Karpowich; and his siblings, Alicia "Carol" DeChard and Phillip Begier. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
