Viall of Stillwater; other survivors include sister, Jodi Evans of Hudson Falls, nephew Garrett Evans; sister Tina Starks of Stillwater, niece Amanda Starks and her daughter Madison; brother, Gary Wood of California, and niece Rebecca Scott.
A graveside service will be held at 3pm on Thursday, July 15, 2021 in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Schuylerville. Attendees should go directly to the cemetery next to his mothers plot.
Craig was a hard worker who honored his father's passion of masonry by forming his own company in that field. Craig was a star football player for Schuylerville Central School. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and all outdoor activities. He enjoyed motorcycles, quad, snowmobiles and times he had with those closest to him when he had free time. Most of all Craig enjoyed life and helping others. He would do for others any time he knew they were in need without being asked and never hung around for a thank you.
Memories of his shortened life live on through all that knew him. Most of all Tina who was the love of his life and he was her gentle giant rock. Craig is now with his deceased loved ones, and his loyal childhood friend, Daniel Thivierge. Craig would question how many people would remember him after he was gone but people would always be able to admire the work that he built. Based on the love and tears shed by family and his “tough guy friends” these last couple days, the truth is he will never be forgotten. Based on the love Tina personally had and the emotions expressed by family and friends the last few days, if being loved could have saved him, he would be with us forever.
Memorials can be made in his memory to the Animal Humane Society.
