He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Fernquist and Mildred Fernquist (Van Auken); his wife Carolyn Lupton Fernquist; his daughter Kathryn Hinds; and his brothers, James Fernquist and Bill Fernquist.
He is survived by: his daughter Susan Wine (Roger) of Long Island; his son-in-law Arthur Hinds of Georgia; his sister Nancy Clements; his grandsons, Owen Hinds, Nolan Wine and Nathan Wine; and his sisters-in-law, Marilyn Klemperer and Donna Wolpert. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
