We are sad to announce that on October 24, 2021 we had to say goodbye to John D. Simmons of Sterling, New York. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Simmons and Mary Simmons (Irwin); his son Dennis Simmons; and his siblings, Anna May Shortslef and Damon Simmons.

He is survived by: his wife Elaine Simmons (Irwin) of Sterling; his daughters, Kimberly Duffy (Robert) of West Virginia, Jodi Sheldon (Michael) of Oswego and Heather Phillips (Richard) of Texas; his grandchildren, Jonathan, Charles Duffy, Patricia Payne (Matthew), Chelsea Nelson (Chase) and Derek Sheldon (Becca); and his great grandchildren, Helana Payne, Arianna Whitford, Wyatt Duffy and Miya Sheldon. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and his faithful dog.

Donations may be made to Hospice of CNY or Helping Hounds Dog Rescue, in John Simmons name.
