James E. Chaffee Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 7, 2022, James E. Chaffee of Sterling, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Burleigh Chaffee and Harvia Chaffee (Gillespie); his wife Faith Cooper Chaffee; his children, Glen Chaffee of Pennsylvania, Amy Durr (Stephen) of Maryland and Steven Chaffee (Michelle) of Buffalo; his grandchildren, Emily Durr, William Durr, Emma Jones, Cooper Chaffee, Cara Jones, Camryn Chaffee, Evan Chaffee, William Chaffee and Cayley Chaffee; and his sisters, Carol Newvine (Lowell), Muriel Barkley (Warren) and Donna Blake (Jerry).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Sterling Valley Community Church, Friends of Sterling Nature Center or The Sterling Historical Society in Jim's memory.
