He was predeceased by: his parents, James Richard Mayer and Frances Mary Jeske Mayer; and his brother James Mayer. He is survived by: his son Arjay J. "A. J."; his sisters, Eva Atwater (Dave) of Berlin and Jennifer Lee (Royeon) of Pittstown; and also Frances Mayer Primeau of Halfmoon. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
