He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerard Ruggiero and Carmela Ruggiero; and his wife Patricia A. Ruggiero. He is survived by: his children, Gerard Ruggiero (Patricia Ruggiero), Robert Ruggiero (Karen Ruggiero), Jennifer Ryan (Jeffery Ryan) and Michelle Bellos (Spyro Bellos); his grandchildren, Maria Zarr, Robert Ruggiero (Jackie), Michael Ruggiero (Josh), Noelle Ruggiero and George Bellos; his great grandchild Mackenzie Meehan; and his siblings, Joseph Ruggiero, Angelina Palmeri and Patricia Gaffey.

In lieu of flowers the family of Gerard Ruggiero requests all donations go to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
