Eileen Glancy Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Eileen Glancy of Staten Island, New York, born in Brooklyn, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 19, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Whelan and Anna Whelan; her spouse PJ Glancy; and her siblings, Leo Whelan, Donald Whelan, Robert Whelan and Jeannie O'Rourke.

She is survived by: her children, Patricia Burka (Thomas), John Glancy (Susan), Patrick J. Glancy (Angelica) and James Glancy (Niamh); her grandchildren, Ryan (Victoria), Thomas (Lyouni), Christopher (Christina), Megan (Salvatore), Patrick, Aisling, Riley, James, Aideen, Michael and Marlyne; and her great grandchildren, Gary, Mason, Benjamin and Ethan.

Visitation was held on Sunday, March 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Marine Park Funeral Home, Inc. (3024 Quentin Rd, Brooklyn, NY 11234). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church (1950 Batchelder St, Brooklyn, NY 11229). A burial was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at the Holy Cross Cemetery (3620 Tilden Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11203).
