She is survived by: her children, Troy, Tanya, Curtis and Keith Jackson; her grandchildren, Aaron Jackson, Dante Vinzant, Curtis Jackson Jr., Stephanie Jackson, Mekhi Jackson, Anandii Jackson, Kenaysha Jackson, Kashayla Jackson and Taylor Jackson; her great grandchildren, Caynece Jackson and Jasiyah Jackson; her aunt Rev. Yvonne Stradford; her uncle Rudolph Stradford; and her sisters, Patricia Dallas and Willie Joyce Clarke.
Carolyn alongside her mother Catherine Bethea worked in setting up the first Sickle Cell Anemia Foundation on Staten Island.
