Alexander Matthew Degan Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Alexander Matthew Degan in Staten Island, New York, born in New York, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 1, 2024 at the age of 80. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex Degan and Anna Degan (Grushka); his former wife Anne Boggia; and his daughter Tracy Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Susan (Butchko); his daughter Elizabeth Jacob (Jason); his grandchildren, Kyle Jacob, Sarah Jacob of Andover, MN and Sister Iris Mahoney; and his son-in-law Kevin Thompson of Longmont, CO. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and in-laws.

Viewing was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel (3612 E 91st St, Tulsa, OK 74137). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Saint Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic Church (4001 E 101st St, Tulsa, OK 74137).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Al's memory to MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Leukemia Research, St Francis Oncology Unit, or Donations of Blood and Platelets as they are the lifeline of Leukemia Patients.
